What is the accepted definition of ‘Wetzel Family’ you might ask.  Well, allow me to explain.

Someone once said, “When the going gets tough, the tough get going.”  That pretty well sums us up as a family. Tenacity and a pioneer spirit are the warp and woof that weave Wetzel fabric.

When a Wetzel bleeds; the rest of us feel their pain. When a Wetzel is troubled, the rest come to the rescue.  We are a family of , largely, cousins; who treat one another as if we were brother and sister.

I’ve noticed, over the past 60 years of my life, that if someone was born a Wetzel: they identify as a Wetzel.  Married or not.  Furthermore; when a woman takes the Wetzel name, she is adopted into the clan as if she were born a Wetzel.  This is all not to mention those persons who become ‘Honorary’ Wetzels.  

I could go on, but I won’t , ’cause y’all know it’s true. Suffice to say, these are just a few of the things that make us WETZEL PROUD!
