Wetzel Genealogy Page

The Wetzel Genealogy Files can be located and downloaded from my Google Drive.

There is 1 folder of Images and  2 files. One file is in a GRAMPS (.gramps) format; and the other is a GEDCOM (.ged) file.  The GEDCOM file should work with practically all Genealogy Programs.  Just import it.  I use GRAMPS.  It is Free, really good & pretty easy to learn.  The downside of the GEDCOM format is that it will not support images.  SO, if you would like to see the images that are embeded, or, add your own; then you will probably want the GRAMPS (.gramps ) file instead.

This link will take you to the ‘Wetzel Genealogy Shared’ folder on my Google Drive :

You can find the FREE Gramps program, along with documentation at:  Gramps

I also use an app on my phone.  It’s called GEDexplorer.  You can find it on either the Apple, or Google play store.  The downside is that it costs $4.  There are a ton of phone apps, and any will work as long as it can access a GedCom file format.

Closing Thought:  This file contains nearly, 6,000 persons.  Many of the more recent generations are missing people, or out of date.  My sincere hope is that Each of us can keep our more immediate families up to date, then about once a year (at a date yet to be determined) folks can send them in and they can be merged into 1 Up To Date File.  Then re-distributed.  I think that is the only way we will ever keep a somewhat ‘up to date’ W.A. Wetzel Family genealogy file.      ~ Robert Charles (R.C.) Wetzel  September 8, 2022.
